Explorers is an Early Years class of 11 children in Reception and Year 1. The Explorers have access to a variety of activities to support their learning whilst providing a nurturing and fun environment in which to grow and develop.  Our enabling environment supports motivating and fun child led play-based activities that support communication and independence.  These opportunities are delivered through a mixture of whole class, small group and 1:1 work. Sessions are either adult directed with a familiar structure or child led, continuous provision sessions where children develop independence through investigative or sensory exploration. In order to maintain children’s engagement in learning we use short, motivating activities.

Alongside the classroom is our outdoor space which the children access to extend learning. This area provides an extension of the classroom provision with areas continuous provision activities and physical development opportunities. We are a busy and happy class.
